Brady and Brody v3.5

The B boys hit their half year milestone and I could not help but savor it.  There is something so nice about acknowledging all the advancements that happened in 6 months.  Maybe it is because their actual birthday is flanked by holidays and often feels like such a "busy" time of the year or maybe I am just overly sentimental in my advanced age....  whatever the case,  I feel like I can really savor the small moments when their half birthday comes around in June.

This year I decided to do a small interview, mainly because I think they are cute and will probably giggle when I reread their answers when I'm seventy (who am I kidding, I reread my blog posts at random all the time.  I will probably reread this next week!).

And here are some other funny sayings from these boys.

One afternoon I was dancing around the kitchen singing "you make me feel so young" in beat with the music and Brody comes in and says "But mom, you're not young".-- Thanks, kid.

One day I come into the bathroom and Brady asked to brush my hair but it was in a ponytail. I said "you can't brush my hair while it's in a ponytail" and he says "But Mom, you're not a pony you're a donkey".  --I wonder what he is really trying to say by this statement?

Brady says "I want to tell Nana about everything. We went to the beach and then home. The end". --We have unlimited calling these days, kid, take your time....

The morning we were leaving (bright and early) for a trip, Brody come running out of his room at 5 am, all smiles, saying  "I ready for my trip!".

Instead of the right words, my kids sing "Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't feel like a nut".

Chris took the kids shopping for ingredients for a Mothers' Day Breakfast.  Brady came home excitedly saying "Mommy, we bought you flower at the grocery store. The blue kind. (then in a sad voice) But it's not organic". It's okay, Brady, we will survive.

"Mom, do you like tight hugs? I love tight hugs." Brody
